Toby Sebastian will be the headliner of On The Meadow festival 2024, which will take place on the 16th of August, at Signature Brew Blackhorse Road. The festival is the result of an initiative by rock band Emergency Break. The first 4 acts participating in the festival, were announced last month. That first wave included Emergency Break themselves, along with Ziggarettes, Evy Frearson and The Ariston.

Leo, the lead singer of Emergency Break, talked to artsymix ahead of the official announcement, in a video that goes live at the same time as this article, as well as the official announcement. He talked about how much they wanted Toby Sebastian and what led them to take matters in their own hands and organize a festival.

They are a rock band with big ambitions and clearly a lot of talent. Not just in music, but also in acting. They featured in the movie Bob Marley: One Love, playing The Clash. In recent days, they supported M60 at The Grace in London, then they competed in the New Blood Competition for the Isle Of Wight Festival and at the same time they have been working on new music. We arrange an interview with The Ariston, which has now been restructured into 2 parts. In the first part, we interviewed frontman Luca Slade and we have agreed that there will be a second part in which, not only the whole band will take part, but they will even play a demo of their future single.

The Ariston were tasked with warming up the crowd ahead of a rock show by the M60, and they didn’t mess about. Their set of 7 rock songs, was ideal to set the tone. These guys are not known for doing slow songs.
It was a much needed gig for the 4-piece rock band, as they hadn’t played too many shows in recent months, following their 2 headline shows towards the end of 2023. It was also good preparation, ahead of a semi-final.

M60 returned to London to deliver a pleasing performance to a sell-out crowd at The Grace. Equipped with a collection of relatively new up-beat rock songs, the 4-piece band from Manchester had their biggest performance in the capital yet.

Get Me Started is a song that Tom A Smith wrote for those who find it difficult to strike up a conversation with a stranger. In a post on Instagram he said “I’ve written a song for everyone who really struggles with talking to and meeting new people for the first time because small talk is hard”.
