Harvey Jay Dodgson is finally back with a new single that will really give you a kick.

It’s about 14 months since Harvey Jay Dodgson’s last release, The Mind’s Eye EP. We wanted more because that EP was brilliant, but we had to be patient, because it’s hard for him to put the money together for another production.

He could have made a production sooner, but Harvey doesn’t compromise. He’s not accepting anything that is not perfect. He prefers to work harder and wait for longer, to make sure he gets the best possible production. And his new single Kick is yet another banger, produced to the highest standard. Just what we always expect from Harvey Jay Dodgson. Such a hard working person, making every sacrifice to make sure his music is as good as it gets.

Kick is out on Friday the 17th of July and I’ve already played it on Future hits Radio. It reflects the range of influences he has. He likes rock, but he also likes rap and electronic. And the way he combined the different genres he likes, was just ideal. He didn’t make a rock part and a rap part. Instead, he through them into a blender and got a new sound that is really catchy and uplifting. I love the way he experiments with his tone, with the deep notes at the beginning of the song, before switching to his normal voice. It sends vibes from the early 2000’s and creates a sense of anticipation for the way the song is about to escalate.

From time to time, Harvey Jay Dodgson comes up with a song that gets me really hooked. He has done it to me again, this time with Kick. I like it!
