Oli Barton is back with his 4th release in 2024, which for me is his best yet. Just a few weeks after his first headline show in London, he's releasing Day & Night. It's yet another song inspired by his struggles in his love life, but expressed in an up-beat catchy pop vibe.
The Sherlocks will headline Venture Fest 2025. The line up of next year's festival, was presented in an interview with ArtsyMix by organizer Harrison Lord of Venture UK, who is also the frontman of one of the bands, The Coltens. The interview went live on the ArtsyMix Youtube channel, at the time of the official announcement, at 5pm on Monday 18/11/2024.
It’s always pleasing when you realize you just discovered yet another gem of new music. This is definitely the case with Montello, who impressed on their recent London gig, at The Rooz Studios. The 4-piece from Wigan have only been together for just over a year now, with members aged 17 and 18 years old. But they already have a whole set of original songs, 3 of which have already been released. In fact, it’s hard to reject any of those songs for a release, or to knock any of them off the set list to make way for a new one. There was a feel-good element throughout their set. And although there was naturally a little bit of shyness, their interaction with the crowd was brilliant.
It’s 8 months since Harvey Jay Dodgson released Freedom. The young singer / songwriter from Portsmouth spent a big part of the summer playing at Festivals and now he’s looking forward to his 2nd release of the year, as well as his first London headline show, both on the same day.
Good things come to those who wait. It’s over a year since the last release by Apollo Junction and we’re getting rewarded for our patience. Their new single Falling is an absolute banger, just what you would expect from the 5-piece indie pop-rock band from Yorkshire.
They've been getting noticed by music fans, as well as established musicians, as a young rock band to watch. While most of the venues in the country will not allow them in for quite some time, Revivalry have already played on the main stage at Kendal Calling Festival, played Victorious Festival, supported some great bands and played in major cities including London and Manchester. With their energy on stage and their likeable personalities, the boys from Cleethorpes are getting more and more fans across the country.
Finally someone is being honest about craving attention and validation through social media. Through her new single Social Media Generation, Grace Calver admits to her obsession to mentions and tags on social media, as a way of validation and possibly a much needed confirmation of someone’s commitment to a relationship. Because if they’re serious about you, what stops them from tagging you on social media to let everyone know? If they’re not tagging you, what should you make of that?
Imagine Emergency Break releasing a song, with the title not being in all capitals. Only joking. Their next single is called HOMETOWN and it’s coming out on Friday the 8th of November.
