New single review: Sometimes - Sweet Unrest

Sometimes you’re overwhelmed by sadness and get to the point where you feel powerless, taken over by the emotions, defeated. Then all of that builds up inside, to the point where you eventually explode and turn the sad weakness into angry power. That’s what happens in Sometimes. It’s an explosion, a rebellious outburst, a protest. A refusal to be defeated.

Who would have thought Milk would be so cool? The summer is gone and we need new music to reflect that change. Don’t worry, Grace Calver has got us covered. Her last single Nothing Too Serious was a summer song. The new upcoming single, Milk, is very much an autumn song.

When you go to a Sweet Unrest gig, you always expect a great show, explosive energy, all sorts of antics and of course great music. But this time, at The Finsbury in North London, they managed to raise the bar even higher.

It was a gig that always had to happen. Grace at The Grace. It was something we've mentioned in the past in some of our conversations and it finally became a reality. Grace Calver supported Connie Talbot at The Grace in London.

It was a Sunday afternoon gig. In the build up to the event, it became apparent that the government's national emergency alert to all mobile devices, would be sent around the time Grace would be finishing her set.
